Coronavirus

Let us build a house where love can dwell and all can safely live

CCLI License 64203

At the end of September 2021, many of the Covid restrictions that had been in place for public worship were removed. We resumed congregational singing, parish breakfast following the Sunday 10am service, and coffee following the Wednesday 9.30 service. For our regular services, there is no need to book (we do occasionally ask people to book for bigger events like our Christmas Eve carol service).

Since 27 January 2022, facemasks have again been optional in places of worship. You are welcome to continue wearing one if you feel more comfortable.

Back to the common cup

We are once again offering the chalice at communion services, so that people can receive in both kinds (bread and wine) should they wish to do so.  It is an offer not an obligation, and if you would prefer to continue receiving in one kind at the moment, you are welcome to do that.

Communion will be distributed standing – come up the middle of the nave to receive bread, and then return to your place down the side aisles, receiving the chalice on your way if you wish to do so.

The invitation is EITHER to receive in one kind OR to drink from the common cup.  Please do not dip the host into the chalice.

Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals

These are taking place as normal.

Church Groups

Most groups and activities have now resumed, if not exactly as they were running before the pandemic.

Please see each groups page in the ‘Church Groups’ and ‘Children and Youth’ tabs for more information, or get in touch with us if you have any questions
